Thanks to Em over at emlinthorpe.com for doing this tag today! I knew right away that I would participate because I’m that annoying Facebook friend who does every one of these quizzes. I love getting to know other people’s quirks. I love discovering the many ways in which we’re different and ultimately the same. I’ve never done a quiz like this that hasn’t sparked interesting conversation and some laughs so here goes…

I got a haircut last week and I thought that I looked spiffy in this selfie so it became the pic that I plastered all over my social media.
Who are you named after?
I wish that I could say that after much thought my parents decided to name me in honour of a great-aunt who survived some spectacular trauma or a great-great-great-grandmother who defied convention and charted her course to success despite the naysayers but the short answer to this question is “nobody”. It’s as if they didn’t even try.
Do you like your handwriting?
I love it. During my high school days, my handwriting changed with my many teenaged moods. It’s fairly solid and distinctive now.
What’s your favorite lunch meat?
I am a fan of meat. Period. Meat and potatoes. Meat and potatoes and cheese. Meat and potatoes and cheese and real butter. What was the question again??
40 years. I’ve been in a steady relationship with myself for 40 years and I still haven’t quite figured me out yet. Guess I’ll be on that journey till it’s time to depart the earth at 91 years of age.
Do you still have your tonsils?
Yes. I still have all of the bits with which I entered the world except for more than a few brain cells lost to deciphering scholarly journal articles for postgraduate work.
Would you bungee jump?
The younger me would have said “NO” but the older me says, “Why the hell not?!”
Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?
I untie the laces of my boots and sneakers when I take them off and I tuck the laces in neatly before I put my shoes back on the rack. I’m a renowned neat freak.
Not a fan of ice cream. If my life depended on it, I’d go with coconut. Once upon a time, I would have answered chocolate. My, how times have changed.
What’s the first thing you notice about people?
Their energy. The vibe they give off. How they affect a space and the people around them.
Football or baseball?
Meh. I don’t do sports.
What colour pants are you wearing?
Currently typing this in a no pants zone. This is always a no pants zone.
Last thing you ate?
Spaghetti and minced beef topped with grated cheese.
If you were a crayon what colour would you be?
Crayola hasn’t created my colour yet.
The smell of the earth after it rains.
Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?
My mother. She needed a ride.
A black so black that it is impossible to dye it purple.
Favorite food to eat?
Steak from Texas Roadhouse.
Scary movies or happy endings?
HORROR! The Conjuring, Insidious…demons, evil spirits, hauntings, possession…that’s what I call a good time at the movies.
Last movie you watched?
It (1927) starring Clara Bow.
As in vacation or seasonal holiday?
If it’s the former, I live on an island (beaches, yay!) and I’m surrounded by lush rainforest where I live. I feel as if that’s pretty much being on holiday every day.
If it’s the latter, Christmas, obviously! I mean, the FOOD!!!
Beer or wine?
Neither! I make a mean rum punch and that’s my go-to alcoholic fix. Oh, and I enjoy a seriously cold Smirnoff.
Night owl or early bird?
An insomniac who would rather sleep than do anything else. One of my favourite K-pop cuties said it best, “I’m just a rock trying to be a human being…” Hahaha! Love you, Suga.
Favorite day of the week?
Every day that I don’t die.
Three or (four) favourite bloggers you want to learn more about?
I’m gonna tag everybody on Instagram. I’m hoping they all participate.
